The Canadian Guide Series is molded after the early works of D.H. Russell in Canada. The classic bowback pattern works very well for scraping hides with the spine of the blade and gives the user a very good thumb print for the choking up on the blade for finer tasks. The point is closer to the center line of the blade to make field dressing much easier and less likely to accidentally pierce the visceral sac. We have changed the handle to blade angle of attack to make the edge more efficient for all cutting tasks. The shallow finger grooved handle is not limiting and can comfortably be held in a number of different grip styles for a wide variety of tasks. The Canadian Series is made for North Country use and will give the user a lifetime of efficient use.
